Carmen Pate was raised in Harvey, Il. She had a strong interest in beauty at the very young age of 10. She would style her cousin’s hair and do acrylic nails. She attended Cannella School of Hair Design where she came up with the name Carmen LuvStyle, because she loved styling hair. She graduated in 2009. She furthered her education by obtaining her instructors license.

In 2012 she worked at the largest beauty Supply in the south Chicagoland known as the top seller. Although she was good at selling overpriced pack hair, she wanted to provide women with luxury extensions at an affordable price. She launched LuvStyle Extensions in 2013.

In 2016 Carmen opened a hair salon called LuvStyle Beauty Lounge in Markham, IL.
